Shirley Elizabeth Chapin Munns, born August 25, 1920, died March 30, 1995. Mrs. Munns was the wife of the late James C. Munns Sr. She was a lifelong Raleigh resident and a retired employee of the North Carolina Art Museum.

Mr. Tyson was the son of the late Walter Gray Tyson and Maude Bailey Tyson. Mr. Tyson was a lifelong resident of Durham. He was a former employee of Leggett-Myers Tobacco Company, for 30 years before retirement.

Mr. Tyson was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and the Triangle Senior Golf Association. Surviving: sons, Joseph J. Tyson and Vernon L. Tyson, both of Durham; daughter, Mrs.
